After the recent rains Thunder Mountain was near perfection; almost no blown out sandy areas. I’ve ridden all over and Thunder Mountain is one of my all time favorites for the amazing views and scenery, but also because it boasts one of the sweetest uphills ever with fun mini downhill sections thrown into the climb to mix things up. Then the downhill through the hoodoos is not only stunning, but also has some fun tech rock sections thrown in to keep you on your toes. Some committal areas to be sure, where you don’t want to go over, but nothing too crazy for an intermediate rider. And I don’t want to spoil it for any first timers, but I will say there’s an epic finale after you exit the bottom of the hoodoo creek canyon. I almost went back for a second loop after I was done! Epic, must ride for any biker that’s wanted to ride the Bryce Canyon trails!

Trail is in good condition considering how dry it's been, Trail does become sandy after 8 mile mark. Needs a good soaking rain as do most trails in S. Utah this time of year.
