The fourth stage of Vaucluse Great Crossing made for mtb by the Vaucluse Tourism Office

From Aurel, the route is quite fast and without any technical difficulties, leading you to Sault and its racecourse, the highest in France (alt 800 m), through woods and open spaces. An easy descent to Monieux allows you to join one of the highlights of this Great Crossing: the Gorges de la Nesque. The beautiful trail that goes up to the Monts de Vaucluse opens you unforgettable views of these gorges worthy of the most beautiful canyons.

A long but exceptional stretch of the beauty of the places crossed and the quality of the many single tracks that mark it. After this little visited sector of the Monts de Vaucluse, you are now entering the territory of the Luberon Regional Nature Park. From the locality of Savouillon, you will meet many Aiguiers, remarkable heritage and typical of this territory. The descent to Saint Saturnin-les-Apt, passing through the abandoned hamlet of Travignon, is a rare succession of trails, sometimes technical or faster.

///
