This is the fourth part of the Alpes Provence Great Crossing for mtb, created with the help of the french cycling federation.

This is certainly the most technical stretch of the entire route. After leaving La Javie and discovering the pretty isolated villages of Draix and Archail, the mountain bike enters the heart of the land of the Black Lands. And these are deserved! After having ascended them, between ridges and thalwegs after Archail, he will be able to descend them (successions of paths and natural steps more or less technical). This descent leads to the plain of Bléone and the prefecture, Digne les Bains. A pure moment of pleasure for mountain bikers!

After the mountains, the plain! This section alternates bicycle route at the exit of Digne, then paths and trails to the hamlet of Gaubert and golf lavender. Yes you will cross a golf (caution!), Before joining the forest roads of Mallemoisson and the old village of the same name.

Leave the Val de Bléone, the villages of Mallemoisson and Mirabeau and gain height! During all the climb on the track, and the pass, enjoy the views of the Bléone, the Durance and Penitents des Mées. After the descent on the Escale, the route follows the Tour du Lac trail. In this protected environment, the path winds through the reeds where many wild birds nest.
