This is the sixth and last part of the Alpes Provence Great Crossing for mtb, created with the help of the french cycling federation.

After a first warm-up by the climb on track between St Etienne les Orgues and Fontienne, the route favors the single track trail and allows you to discover the remarkable site of the Mourres. The descent continues on a fun route, pleasant and varied, to the heart of Forcalquier.

We must be wary of this stretch between Forcalquier and Saint Michel Observatory which, without particular difficulty, still offers a profile in roller coaster! The route alternates paths and some technical descents on sometimes brittle trails, before joining the characteristic domes of the Astronomical Observatory of Haute-Provence.

Here is the last section of the Grande Traversée VTT Alpes-Provence. Mainly on tracks and small roads, this stretch allows to savor all the route traveled since the pastures of the Larche pass. After a final climb to the neck of Death Imbert (viewpoint on the Alps and the Durance Valley), the route plunges on Manosque, the end of this great crossing.

///
