This route was recommended to us by a local trailbuilder, and it proved to be a lot of fun. Without it, the Halfmoon network could be a bit confusing for a come-from-away/.

Most singletrack on the route is twisty, intermediate stuff with a fair number of roots and mild rock rolldowns. Climbs (and descents) are mostly short and punchy. Very fun ride!

Fun loop! Nice, relatively easy morning ride. It was all good until my chain broke. Ah well. Thanks for posting it.

Super fun technical XC - some parts of the little knives climb were pretty loose and kicked my 45 year old dad butt. Probably still best to ride it in the dry. Nice detour up to the water tower and and down T-Rex mini slabs. Ideal bike would be 29er XC bike with a dropper. I managed just fine on my trail bike. Would ride it again.
