This loop starts heading East on a "Non-motorized" Doubletrack. After a steep ascent there is a fork in the trail and you take a left up the hill (rather than following the power lines downhill). You should pass a trail marker for BLM-4. This doubletrack trail climbs along an undulating ridgeline where some sections are steep and rocky, and there are nice views. Just before the apex of BLM-4, you will turn left down doubletrack BLM-5, you can't miss it. BLM 5 is a steep descent down to the junction of BLM-3 where you turn left and follow a easy and flowy trail back to the Ringing Rocks Access Road and back to the start.

The trails on this loop will typically be snow free and dry out faster than some others in the Pipestone Area. BLM-3 is really the crux in terms of water and mud.

totally dry except one small creek crossing.

Half dry, half muddy with patches of snow. If you go early morning when things are still frozen it will ride great. Shouldn't take very long to dry out if we get a week of nice weather.
