This is an awesome ride on the Whistler South Side trails. You will start by climbing up the scenic and pretty basic Farside Trail, which parallels the Cheakamus River. You will end up doing a short section of fire road climbing up to HiHi which is a shortish but incredible descent on a new school flowy trail. You will then ride Highline which is generally a climb and it will connect you to Duncan's trail which is the gem of this ride. Expect a challenging ride on Duncan's as it has many short steep climbs and awesome technical challenges on the descent. You can start and finish in Function Junction, we suggest you park near Fineline Bike Shop which is right across the street from the Whistler Brewery... a perfect place for a post ride chill session.

I absolutely love this trail. One of my favourites in Whistler. Great features, tough climbs - a real all rounder trail. Have yet to ride it clean but will be proud when I do! Check it out!

For those curious: it takes about 15 minutes to reach the trailhead climbing the microwave access road from the valley trail.

Also, amazing work done recently - just the right mix of polish and grit. Huge thanks to the trail builders.

Awesome new tweaks to the trail, nice work WORCA trail crew! The changes have made riding the trail smoother and faster.

If you've previously ridden this trail and found it a fraction too difficult, it's worth checking it out now.

One of my absolute favourite trails. Cool features, tough uphill sections. Just a really great ride. Have done it several times and will do it many more too!

Black bear encounter today, the 26 July, 2020 just below the double rock garden roll into the ladder ramp. Mom and cub and we all parted ways happily.

Trail Farside
Don’t be fooled by the green status. This trail is as fun as you make it.

A zippy way to get up to high side etc and a fun flowy one to ride down.

Be mindful and respectful of hikers

This was my first black trail in whistler when I rode it last summer.

Certainly not for the feint of heart but very rewarding for advanced riders with some great viewpoints.

Good flowy trail, especially with my younger kids. Lots of people hiking / biking both directions so stay alert.

Really Good! Great early season run. Good test of well-rounded ness as DH'ers will want to cry on the uphill portions. But the down makes it all worth it. Something for everyone! I'm not saying anything new except that if you've never seen Flight of the Conchords you should, and the name of this trail will make much more sense!

I love this trail. Everyone has a different opinion as to how difficult it is. I found it challenging but not scary. For some perspective, I race enduro in pro women’s category and I love tech trails. There are a handful of uphills that I wouldn’t miss but all-in-all, the descending portions make the trail super fun. I love the rock rolls.

Trail HiHi
HiHi has been been logged and is not rideable. Recommend dropping onto the fire road after completing high side and connecting to high line to finish on Duncan’s.

I found the first half of this trail up to the AM/PM intersection to be super difficult with tons of climbing and wasn’t really sure if it was worth the climb. But after that? Oooooooh Nelly!!!! So good. Little jumps and drops and rolls and slabs and berms and all the cool things about biking packed into one little descent.

This is an amazing trail, a must ride for the confident shredders out there. It is challenging for intermediate level riders, first timers can probably expect to do a little pushing in the steep climb sections as momentum is key but dont let that put you off. The downhill flow is epic! I will ride this trail again and again.
