A great connector to good black diamond downhill trails. This trail is the epitome of "earn your downhill".

A great downhill trail. It only requires beginner level skills but it seems to have way more cacti (especially cholla) and rocks on the sides compared to other green trails. It ups the pucker factor when you're riding fast and at night.

Trails marked “No E bikes”, but E bikes are everywhere here. If you ride here, be prepared to get buzzed on the uphill climbs by groups of e bikes motoring up to the fun downhill trails.

Yep. Moved over on this climb for someone I thought was pro-level XC rider (it's not often I'm passed on a climb, hella-respect if you do pass me on your own leg power)... but nope. E-bike.

Perfect XC-style climb, no tech, just keep pedaling! Fairly moderate start, gets a little more intense through the switchbacks at the top.

Ignored this trail and finally just went for a ride to change things up. It was a blast, definitely ride it downhill. Short and sweet

Very fun Blue/Black trail fast finish. High quality to hone skills for tougher Blacks like Iron GOAT and NRA and Sunset Ridge

Fun trail, flowy and fast. will make you wish you worked on your switchbacks more! Black rating is probably a little overkill - it's got some steep sections, but not much for technical moves.

Pretty much all I want in a desert singletrack climb—good pitch, good scenery, sustainability (hopeful). A good workout with no technical drama, and gets you to the good stuff.

Smooth for a black, will probably get a bit more smooth with more people riding. Road at night, good view of the city. Nice areas 2/3 the way through to zone out, let the gong go off in your head, birds chirping, pump a little here, a little there, and just shred

Super fun, fast & flowy downhill trail, the trail is new so the ground is tight & compact which means you can really open it up, ends at several trailheads in Hawes East

Fun trail, with a good of loop to do laps of. Definitely would call it a blue though. Would be nice if they built some more difficult features as alternative lines. Also watch out for the runoff ditches towards the bottom, they're pretty deep and can buck you if your carrying speed.

Yeah should probably be a blue. Easier than the other black trails in the area.

Love this trail, my only complaint is the switchbacks they put in part way down, would have been cool if they had a "more difficult" bypass section which was steeper downhill.

Rode the reroute today from Ellsworth up to the new High Ridge trail. It’s all rideable now, including the switchbacks at the top. Huge improvement over the old hike-a-bike alignment. Well done, Hawes Trail Alliance.

Fun trail. A lot smoother than other black trails in the area. Maybe the exposure adds to the difficulty rating? I look forward to riding it again.

A lot of work is being done on this trail. It doesn’t follow the original route in certain sections, so it is somewhat confusing right now, but as nature retakes the old sections, it will be easy to follow. The new sections have a lot of switchbacks that are still pretty fresh with somewhat deep gravel that is a real energy suck to climb. I did it from East to West to get to Goat, so the climb was a bit of a grind, but all doable. Coming down the old version was fun, but the new sections make this far better. Recommend doing it as a downhill; West to East.

Fabulous fast rapid descent with lots of opportunities for little jumps... not technical at all! Great short, fast, reward for the climb. Watch out for the occasional biker riding uphill from N to S.

West to East: punchy ups and downs as you climb. A few of those ups are a bit technical but not too hard.
East to West: a slower than expected descent due to many off camber turns where your front tire easily desires to slide out! Keep your front tire properly weighted and pick a good line to increase the flow factor!

Not sure what Spanky54 is referring to. High Noon is very sustainable, lots of grade reversals, no ruts, no erosion, holding up very well over the last few years. Maybe he’s talking about the trail above it that was decommissioned by Tonto NF.

Great mountain bike trail! Best ridden east to west as a loop from Hawes/Wild Horse Trail. Needs some grade reversals and outsloping to be sustainalbe. Hopefully USFS will have a competent trail crew or a voluteer group work on this trail tread and make it more sustainable. Would love to help?

Rode this today. Didn't see the turn off to stay on Wild Horse Trail. A little more than I like to tackle but we made it through. Will pay better attention to GPS and trail.

I must have had a dyslexic moment when I reported that it is best ridden west to east as I meant the opposite. There is a 200+ ft elevation loss going in the east to west direction. It's always more fun when your fueled by gravity.
