For the expert rider, try this exhilarating loop with 2 big climbs, a not so bad climb and 3 rowdy descents. Start by taking Trail 9 and merge right onto Trail 13. After crossing over two wooden bridges, take a right up Trail 17 all the way to the ridge top. Take a left on Upper MTN Bike Road and jog down to the main High Gear trailhead. Start with some fun jumping and wild descent on Trail 22. Cross Valley Loop rd to continue jumping down Trail 22 until it merges into Trail 13. At the 4-way intersection, start climbing again up a steady ascent on Trails 18 and 19. After arriving at High Gear, try taking Trail 23 for a fun, challenging ride down the mountain and some beautiful vistas. Just make sure to keep on eye on where you’re going. There’s jumps, drops and more to keep you working on this trail. Trail 23 will merge onto trail 20 for short distance to Valley Loop Road. Then, take Trail 24 for a few more jumps before ending up back on 13. For a final hurrah, cross Valley Loop Rd again to climb up Trail 16 and follow it back down for a fun returning descent to Low Gear. See the trail descriptions for more details about the trails.
