The spacious basin, surrounded by a wreath of hills, offers plenty of opportunities for recreation. Numerous forest trails through the surrounding hills and valleys became the destination of many cyclists and the Žiri Cycling Circle was formed.
The Žiri Cycling Circle mostly runs along forest macadam paths and is suitable for mountain bikes. The length of the entire circle is 54 km. Cycling can be adjusted to our own wishes and abilities. Individual sections are also suitable for families with small children, especially cycling in the valleys of Žirovnica and Račeva. We do not have to worry about getting lost along the way, as the entire route is marked with signposts.
Detailed Description
Žirovski Krog is a 33 mile less popular intermediate route located near Žiri. This mountain bike primary route can be used both directions. This route climbs 5,426 ft with a max elevation of 3,196 ft then descends -5,432 ft.
