Miners Creek Rd to the top, CT/Peaks back to town. The perfect ride after work.

Get to Miner's Creek Rd however you like. This route starts at Zach's Stop and take Peaks to the road. By midsummer the road gets washed out and torn up, so climbing can be tough. Nothing too crazy, but you'll probably hike a few parts.

Catch your breath at the top where the road meets the CT. Take the CT to Peaks. You'll start with a a slightly downhill and off camber traverse, then as you enter the burn zone things get steeper. As you exit the burn zone you can really let loose, but careful as there are a lot of babyheads that want to eat your shin and downtube. After a bit the trail veers to the right and uses a wooden bridge to cross the stream (this happens a few times on the trail). You'll have a quick uphill burst to get to Peaks trail. Make the left on Peaks, and head back to town. You'll be next to the creek for most of this. When you get back to the road, you can take the road back to town or take the trails by Rainbow Lake. This route uses Peaks (the way it starts).

None of these trails are terribly difficult. You can cruise down and there aren't any mandatory features/obstacles. If you hit the descent at pace, though, you can maintain good speed pretty much the whole time.

The closer you are to Rainbow Lake the more trail users you will see!
