Start by grabbing a bell from the bell box to make yourself heard! Ride starts on easy, non-technical singletrack and climbs off the property and heads towards terrain that offers more technical and chunky fun as you work your way up to the summit of Ocean View Trail where you'll be greeted with great views in all directions, including a view all the way south to Point Sal and even Point Arguello on a clear day. Heading back down will yield some potentially fast and fun stretches over and through the chunky singletrack and eventually down the Wednesday Trail (Lower) affectionately known as "Chutes and Ladders" aptly named from the use of 4 "Flying Switchbacks" required to negotiate the steep section of terrain. Watch yourself! The switchbacks on all corners come up fast and the trail is very toothy. After a ride up Froom Canyon, you'll experience a completely different geology in the original Irish Hills section of the network. Lots of sharp and loose rock and chunder on the trail with lower chaparral as you near the top. Ultimately heading down the north facing hillside will put you close to the urban jungle as you traverse the lower King Trail and Froom Connector that runs behind Costco and Home Depot. There's a chance for Costco Pizza and a soda if you find yourself depleted! From here, it's a return to lower Froom Canyon, across the creek and up the way you came down as the entire return leg is done on a shortened version of trails you've already navigated. Looking to stretch it out even more, you can include the original pond loop again for a few extra miles, otherwise a return to Johnson Ranch is where you'll pick up a section of North Loop as well as South Loop that you haven't ridden that will return you to the trailhead.

Previously overgrown section has had some serious work done to it, much wider than before, big improvement. Pretty tacky too!
