Laguna Coast Wilderness Park is another fun riding location closer to the beach in Orange County, much like Aliso which you might remember from week 3. In fact, you are even able to get to these Laguna trails from Aliso Woods. These trails in Laguna are known for being flowy, sometimes gnarly, and always super fun. Be aware, there are a lot of illegal trails here so be sure to stay on the path and follow the routes listed. If you want to try out a different trail, be sure to check the Trailforks App to make sure it's allowed. These trails are also open to horses and hikers so be cautious and yield to other trail users. It can get a bit humid being a coastal riding spot but if you are able to make it out when there is still a marine layer, you’re in for a cool and fun ride.

Trail Missing Link
A great warm up to the more technical trails. Several spots have options from east to chunky. When in doubt, right is usually harderSmile

Fun tech trail. If you are riding this alone watch out for the Lizards Climb near the bottom. It is a two foot rock wall that some people like to challenge themselves on. It would be really nice to have a bypass for most of us who can't do it.

Trail Missing Link
This section of trail is labeled Missing Link, with the section on the other side of Slow n Easy is called Fenceline. Could we get this changed on Trailforks?

Recent maintenance done to Bottom of the first section, before the trees has been largely shaped with dirt berms instead of rock garden/armoring. Mostly a blue flow trail now. However thank you to Trail builders for keeping it rideable.

First time here today and it didn’t disappoint. Fast and flowy in the beginning then gnarly with rocks at the end. A lot of fun!

As a visitor, this was definitely my favorite trail in the park. Fast and fun at the start and some steeper, rockier stuff through the bottom half.

The July / Aug changes made the top section more flowy, definitely more of of a blue than black

Trail just received alot of work on the top. Breaking bumps are pretty much gone along with alot of the rock gardens. Berms are built up also. It's faster now but easier as well. For sure runs like a blue trail now.

Trail Fence Line
Fun trail, great for beginners, minimal climbing, sand can slow things down a bit. There are two entrances on the north western portion, the upper being more rocky and technical, and the lower being the most easily recognizable entrance with flowy banked berms and low head clearance from brush. Great combo with missing link or connector from el Moro / Laguna canyon climbs to other trails.

Trail Laguna Ridge
Rode this about a month and a half ago on a hardtail with a 100 mm travel upfront. The bottom part was definitely a little spicy. Once you drop through the chute this trail is non-stop action till you reach the bottom. Looking forward to taking the Enduro bike out and see how it really feels.

Fun singletrack with some pretty techy optional lines. A great trail for progressing and warming up for lizard, rattlesnake, etc.

Super fast and fun in the top (black), then extremely chunky, steep, and gnarly near the bottom (dbl black).

There is a nice sign post at the top marking the trail. I usually warm-up on fenceline and it spits me out almost right there.

Would NOT take a beginner down this trail, unless you want them to never ride with you (or maybe anyone else) again. Love this trail though and takes you to a series of other trails in the area.

I agree - it would be great to have a single track out of the park somewhere. Lizards was a blast - no beginner trail, but if you are comfortable with some drops and steep, it is a lot of fun.

Lizards is decent fun, BUT, all the work climbing from the parking area and NO singletrack back down, that is CRIMINAL.
