The Mag 5 ride is an awesome shuttle. The terrain is fairly intermediate and not super steep either. Expect a long ride that is almost all slightly downhill with the exception near the end of the ride of a short, challenging pedal through a sandy wash and a relatively long climb (4km or so) out on the Gemini Bridges jeep road at the end of the ride to get out to Highway 191.
The typical route has riders descending down into the sandy gulch at the bottom of of the Little Canyon (Mag 5) trail and then climbing out via the Gold Bar Rim and Gemini Bridges jeep roads back to the parking area on the 191 Highway. From here you can either drive (if you left a retrieval car) or ride back into town on the road or bike trail (mostly downhill and flat back into town).
Key trails are: Getaway Start --> Bull Run --> Great Escape --> Little Bridges --> Gold Bar Rim jeep road (Through the challenging sandy wash) --> this final bit is a 7.5 km pedal (about 4km of which is climbing) out on Gemini Bridges Jeep road back down to Highway 191.
Mag 7 ride has you ride down Portal or Poison Spider.
