High Point

A short loop of the lower part of Makara Peak Mountain Bike Park which includes two of the easiest tracks in the park - Koru and Lazy Fern.

This is a good introduction to the park, especially for beginners. Koru climbs at a moderate gradient initially and then flattens out a bit for the second half. There are plenty of spots to stop for a breather and to enjoy the native forest and birdsong.

Lazy Fern is an easy, fun track with a well maintained, smooth surface, that winds it's way back to the main car park through well established native bush.
