Mile to Sheep is a classic Montana backcountry ride. It is best ridden counter-clockwise, such that you climb the many switchbacks on Mile Creek Trail and enjoy the flow down Sheep Creek.

This is grizzly country. Be bear aware: ride in a group and make noise.

 Seems like it's more like 26 miles and 5600'. Still, a long day with incredible riding. Bring water treatment as there's plenty of water.
