Day 1: Backcountry Style!
Stage 1: Grand Traverse, Sidewinder, Upper Sticks 'n Stones
We'd say this is the most scenic stage, but we're in the Tetons. It's all scenic. Grand Traverse is high-speed sidehill that leads into Sidewinder's lazy turns through a high-alpine bowl. Sidewinder might be rated intermediate, but don't let your guard down. And make sure you're on your A-game for Sticks 'n Stones. This trail is old-school hand-built gnar.
Stage 2: 38 Special
What can we say? We're headed to Mill Creek, and needed more climbing for an enduro race. If you dialed your switchback game at the Helenduro, this will be a great opportunity to see how it's holding up.
Stage 3: Mill Creek (from overlook)
Here's your reward for Stage 2: everyone's favorite backcountry descent, starting at the overlook. Enjoy the transfer out to this start, and take in the view. The descent is one of the best around, with some new turns at the bottom this year, courtesy of TMBA.
