*Overall altitude gain is overestimated. We estimate the actual climbing on the long course to be about 1100M.

Transition 1 (Sulfur Springs) - Don't burn yourself out on those climbs, save it for the timed sections.

Timed Segment 1 (Brakeless) - Loose and steep for the first 3 or 4 turns, then it moves to a much more gentle grade. It's not technical, but it also isn't smooth, it is a real test of your suspension. You will need to pedal, but also keep your head up for the turns and hidden roots. Longer than you expect.

Transition 2 (Highway 66, Sulfur Springs, Ninja Cow, Moose Road) - Please be careful on the short highway section, standard rules of the road apply. Stay single file on the shoulder. The entrance to Ninja Cow is a little tricky, but using it will save you about 80M of climbing over the day. When on Moose Road be aware that it remains open to traffic. Stay to the right and aware of traffic movements.

Timed Segment 2 (Toothless) - Classic Moose Mountain gnar, steep and loose with tight committing corners. There is a blue/black option near the top that is really black vs. proline. If you have not previously confirmed that you can ride the black line do not ride it in the race. It will not be faster if you have to walk it. One wooden drop near the end that will be marked as a drop.

Transition 3 (Ings Mine Road, Elbow Valley, Sulfur Springs, Ninja Cow, Moose Mountain Road) - The push up Elbow Valley is steep, but the most efficient route. Don't forget to make use of the Feed Station and Neutral Repair at the 2K parking lot.

Segment 3 (Top of Race of Spades) - Such a fun trail, tight with all sorts of terrain. Stunts will be marked as gaps or not, or taped off, and there is always a ride-around option. Some of the stunts will present serious consequence if messed up, so be aware and make good decisions.

Transition 4 (CF Climb) - Push the old line, or ride/push the new one. Your choice, they both will be painful.

Segment 4 (Bottom of Race of Spades) - The shortest stage but deserving of your full attention. A bit of pedaling through narrow trees that want to grab your bars. Then ribboned trail with many wooden features, either know the features or read the signs, you don't want to take an accidental 3M drop. Then a high speed section with poor sightlines to the finish.

Transition 5 (Tom Snow) - Please ensure the gate is closed after you pass through.
