Racers start at Station Flats and climb Sulphur springs to the 2K parking lot.
Timed trails are Brakeless, Jean Guy to SLF, and Race of Spades.
Trail Notes (subject to change):
- This is primarily a "wheels on the ground" course.
- All jumps and drops that can't be rolled will be taped and NOT included in the course.
This includes some of the jumps on Race of Spades that were included last year.
- Jean Guy segment will start with the builders entrance not the wooden feature.
- A specific line will be taped through Jean Guy that all racers are to remain on.
- Segment 2 will end in the flat section before the small wooden jump at the bottom of SLF. The steep rock roll will NOT be included.
- Racers are asked to utilize the temporary footpath that goes around the grey rocks in the drainage to connect back with T-Dub.
- Please be careful when riding during and before the race, and listen during the racer meeting for any course changes or additional notes.

Trailforks estimates altitude gain at 1400m, it might actually be fairly close for once. I estimate about 1300M. Anyone else have any guesses?

My strava from last year's course plus the elevation between toothless and jean guy puts it at 1233m

Argh, the event page shows the short course profile, which I had confusedly thought was the long course.

The event page has a weird layout. It shows the one map without labels and then lists the long course below. It isn't clear at all that there are two maps.
If you want to change categories please send an email to me at info@alberta66mtb.com.

Trail is dry, but without many flat turns it is in good condition to ride. This trail doesn't seem to see much action, so much of the middle and lower section isn't worn down to dirt yet.

Jean Guy running great. It's pretty dry, but not yet dusty. The new portion lower down is coming together nicely.
