High Point

Hawes is a great place to ride, with numerous ways to connect trails and make loops. This is a fun ride I do when I only have about 60-90 minutes. You earn your turns, but there are some fun climbs and some great descents.

There's been trail sabotage by people who don't like bikers. This evening I went over the bars while going through the switchbacks. Someone stacked an obvious mound of rocks in the center of the trail at the left turn before the swoop. Riders beware of people who're doing this and contact the US Forest Service if you witness it. This isn't just isolated to the switchbacks but also up near diamond.
