This is no easy ride Welcome to the Grinder. This route starts going up gladiator creek road and splits off to the western home road. Climb up the trail and take a right to get on the Outhouse single track. Pedal uphill around the banked switchbacks and enjoy this fun fast flow downhill while you can. Towards the bottom of Outhouse you will take a sharp left to climb to the top of Gladiator Trail. You will then head all the way down Gladiator back past the start.

Follow the road behind the lodge and take a left onto Rip and Tear. Climb up to the yurts and take a right onto Rip and Tear road. Continue up the road and take a left onto Shortcut. continue to climb and take a right onto the Spring Creek single track. Make your way up and down this roller coaster section of trail headed towards Senate Meadow. Take a right onto senate meadow road and enjoy the recovery all the way down to Galena View.

At the bottom of the road take a left onto Galena View. Once you cross the bridge stay left. Make your way around galena view and take a left to head towards Senate Meadows loop. At the next intersection take a left to climb the lower section of Senate Meadows Loop. Continue up the switchback to the upper section of Senate Medows Loop. Ride down the upper section of Senate Meadows and connect to Pioneer Cemetary. Continue around Pioneer Cemetary Loop until you can exit onto Cherry Creek Road. Use this stretch of road to recover because what comes next is just mean.

From Cherry Creek Road Take a right onto Spur Trail and stay right at the next intersection which connects to Spring Creek. Pedal Spring Creek to the Grinder intersection and take a left. Climb, climb, and climb to the top and then climb some more. Once you finally make it to the top it's time for some downhill. It doesn't last long until you have to climb again. Continue to make your way around the Grinder. You are now on the home stretch. Keep on pedaling the rest of the course and watch out for the rock shoot through this section. Pedal on down to the Senate Medows Road and Make your short sprint to the finish line!

Detailed Description
Old 25 Mile Galena Grinder Course is a 25 mile extreme race route located near Ketchum Idaho. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 3 trails. This route climbs 2,852 ft with a max elevation of 8,346 ft then descends -2,845 ft.
