All Mountain Bike Trails at Lysterfield Park Closed Upon assessment of the Mountain Bike trail network at Lysterfield Park, Parks Victoria has decided to close all Mountain Bike Trails until December 1st. The trails have been assessed to be in an ‘unsafe condition’, with many trails experiencing heavily degraded and wet conditions. This decision has not been made lightly but is necessary in order to maintain visitor safety. The length of this closure is reflective of the required time needed for trails to recover and for repairs to initiated and worked through within the network. Parks Victoria will endeavor to do all it can to open the trails as soon as possible and when they are in a safe condition.

Heavy rainfall compounded by significant usage and an unusually wet winter has led to the decision to close the network from today Monday 18 October until Monday 1 November 2021. This will ensure the trails do not deteriorate further and require excessive repairs. What trails will remain open? The Lake Circuit Trail and all fire trails will remain open.
