Honestly one of the most fun trails to bomb in Bentonville, needs A bit of work to restore it to the absolute screamer that it once was though

Super fun drop considering there aren’t a ton of places you can find stuff like this. It’s a lot easier than it looks though, just takes some balls. You only need to roll into it with maybe one pedal stroke. The landing is super smooth, and even if you drop it pretty deep it’s not too bad.

Only 1 10ft section that would be reason trail is rated a black trail. Worth riding either way.

This trail is so much fun! It should definitely be double black for a few reasons though. The beggining of the downhill has one smaller jump, right into a SUPER long jump, and a very large gap afterwards. In order to hit this right, you have to pedal as hard as you possibly can, to hit the two last jumps without casing. The techy section after all the jumps stays wet during the winter season, so you have to watch your tire placement closely. Definitely one of my favorite trails in Bentonville though.

Rode S to N. Rained day prior and the rocks/roots were extremely slippery. If the trail was dry I think it would have been a lot of fun but I had a hard time with the mossy wet rocks. Mother Nature got the last vote for me today

I would give this a single black diamond. I think it would be a technical double black if it were steeper, but it's not, so the risk isn't as serious as other double blacks out there. Either way, tricky and super fun trail with lots of opportunities to challenge technical climbing skills. Would have been more fun if the trail wasn't covered in leaves, so maybe consider that for fall riding. Bottomed out my frame a ton but I ride a wmns XS.

A great place to practice some jumps. Pro tip if you wanna do some sessioning without having to bike all the way back from the bottom: you can run through the first five(ish) jumps and there is a offshoot trail to the left that leads to the fire road which you can take back to the top. The offshoot trail is right after the three jumps in a row.

Fun trail and decent rock garden that's not too technical. I will definitely be adding this to my loop. I did have a somewhat bizarre experience though. I was coming up to the rock garden and heard what sounded like a goat and laughter in the distance. I came around the corner and realized it wasn't a goat, but a novice rider that went OTB and crashed hard on the rocks. He had a compound humerus fracture and there were leaves and debris hanging off the bone. I've never seen or heard anything like it before. He was surprisingly pretty chipper in between his groaning and laughter probably from being in shock. He kept telling me about the grey lunchmeat he got at shoprite and his GI Joe collection oddly enough. I helped him get back to the trailhead after we squirted some water on the bone to clean it off a bit. He kept trying to squirt his orange gatorade on it then even though it burnt like hell and was a terrible idea, so I had to take it from him. Bizarre to say the least...

Trail Down Under
A microcosm of Tunnel Vision. Test ride this to see if you want the bigger version. You’re either going up or going down. Of course the descents are fun, but the climbs are pretty brutal and they add up fast. As with TV, I wish the trail builders had added in more pitch moderation in spots to give the trail more variety and to be less of a climb-fest. As is, plan on riding when the temperatures aren’t so high or when you’re in better shape! Last, confirmation of counterclockwise direction.

I found this trail to be ill-formed and frustrating. The top section has all these rock-slab jumps but whoever built them either made the slabs too steep or the landings too far away so they are basically a waste of trail and almost impossible to hit unless you are pedaling as hard as you can. Avoid these jumps and the trail is okay.

This was my favorite trail on Coler Mt. But I prefer chunky, rocky, and technical riding to the smoother flow trails. The rock slab jumps require some speed but are low consequence if you come up short.

Crazy jumps and massive berms, you just float over every single jump and transition and the air time is pretty gnarly, a lot of it does require some pedaling which gets you beat pretty quick.

Should be a unidirectional trail—that is, DH only. Was possibly the best trail in BVille when it debuted; however, it eventually became very rocky so traction isn’t great, so bombing is not what it could be and once was. Need one of the dozens of BVille trail crews for a day or two, or some forced labor during the nearby school’s recess for a month, to clear the rocks and restore Tristan’s glory!

Due to a detour on Tunnel Vision I had to ride this trail South to North. I highly recommend it (it would likely be fun but more of a slog the other way). One of the hidden gems within the system for sure!!! Tons of flow but easier grades (you can haul and pedal at the same time) and perfect corners and berms. I also think an owl lives on the trail. I saw one and then a few hours later my wife did at the same spot.

Accurate description, this trail will lead you all the way to slaughter pen phase one. There are lots of smooth dirt rollers, berms, and all the jumps are optional.

I agree with arwhite19, the dirt is super smooth and jumps are much easier to clear than cease and desist.

Unpopular opinion, but I think these jumps are more fun than the upper section of Cease and Desist before you drop the hammer. Make sure you don't stop pedaling between jumps though.

Trail Rock Soft
This trail isn't for everyone and lacks the flow of the more famous Cease and Desist, but overall has a great combination of some decent flow and jumps at the top, some techy rocky sections with some drops and side hits further below, and just enough difficult to keep even more advanced riders on their toes from top to bottom.

Such a fun flowing jump trail and the woods are absolutely beautiful in the fall. If you are feeling hesitant about hitting this trail (like I was) ask a local to tow you in. Some of the nicest people around. One thing I will say is that you have to pedal HARD just to clear everything. You'll be winded by the time you make it to the Hammer, but at that point all you have to do it send it.

This is an awesome trail if you enjoy rock gardens. The trail is difficult for our area but not unreasonable (not double black worthy). I agree with the others that Apple Turnover is harder although it’s much shorter and not as fun as Here’s Johnny.

This trail is really not that bad. I think Apple Turnover at slaughter pen is more technical than this trail. I think the rock garden at the end must have been tamed down because it’s basically a freeway at this point. The only real tech comes at the top of the trail where it meets Esther but it’s nothing crazier than other black tech trails around here.

Trail The Ledges
This is one of my favorite trails if not my absolute favorite. Not too many people so you can let loose and enjoy the ride. It is a challenging trail but idk if I would call it an expert trail. It is very fun. Flows really well at times and other times it's pretty technical. I would suggest riding from south to north so start out on the Commonwealth road side and go down to the Grosvenor road end.

Fun trail, but several very techy sections that are rocky, with rocky slabs, step downs. Advanced riders who like tech challenges will enjoy; intermediates that like smooth will not enjoy these sections of the trail, but they’re relatively short and can be walked.

Did this one clockwise from the parking area by cunningham. It has a very intense startoff but some climbing after that. Quite a bit of climbing but some really fun downhill parts as well. I would imagine it might be more fun the other way but I'll let you know next time. Great workout.

Don’t know why this is listed as Black. It’s a smooth trail with some rollable jumps on the top and some big berms on the bottom. I think SP lists it as blue, no real technical skill needed (though more experienced riders can play more on it).
