This is my absolute favorite ride from Park City Mountain Resort. It is not an epic ride or a lunch ride, it is that perfect Saturday morning rip or weekday afterwork ride.

It starts using the uphill only Armstrong trail, which is mostly pretty easy, but has a few rocky sections to clean and gives you a bit of technical warm-up. The uses what I think is some of the best Mid Mountain section of trail, fast and flowing if you keep on the gas through the pine trees. From there you go down the best part of CMG.

Oddly enough, this part of CMG is bi-directional, but is way better than the dedicated downhill section. If you continue down the slow flow to the resort, you will get into traffic and it is not that great. So at the Jenni's intersection continue right and start the slow but smooth spin back up to Mid Mountain. Here you will traverse back the same way you came. There is an intersection deep in the trees where you turn down Spiro for the final ripping downhill.

Connects Mid Mountain to bottom of Silver Star restaurant, rest rooms. Good exit point to end ride from Silver Lake Lodge via Mid Mountain trail.

I have no clue how it has four stars. It just really isn't that good.

Absolutely beautiful. Beyond that very rough top to bottom.

As of today, there were 7 dead aspens blocking the trail going east towards CMG. none of them were rideable, so had to shoulder the bike and climb over. Hoping someone with more lumberjack experience than I do can get out there soon and remove them.

You can technically go up it, but just don’t. Nobody does except lost people on rental bikes. Armstrong is uphill only and goes to the same area.

Too many roots and corners, could not enjoy the ride. Not recommended to ride both ways.

I know this trail is very popular, but I did it a couple of days ago and it was not very fun. It was a serious washboard. Even the berms. Kind of disappointed. Hopefully it gets some TLC.

Trail Spiro
It's one the classic Park City trails, everyone's ridden it. But for a 1500 foot descent it's pretty boring. Buff, straight, not much in the way of natural or man made features or flow. You're still going to end up on it.
