Here's a great route for the singlespeeders out there. I made this route to take advantage of a single's ability to just let you grind away, so it goes counterclockwise (you can do the route clockwise, but I have a feeling you might spin out riding the north part of the trail on a single). You can add or subtract to this pretty easily. I might modify this route later to go further to the northwest ... I was waffling around out there and not really knowing where I was going.

If you're new to the area ... the Pemberton parts are pretty easy. The Escondido bits are a tiny bit more difficult. There's nothing really technical in this route - it's all about speed!

Finished up 17 mile hike on the trail from Gateway access. Hot and dry. There is no water so make sure you have plenty.
