This is a 21 mile meander starting from Penn Roosevelt State Park. Starts of with a gradual climb out of the park up Thickhead Mtn Rd Trail to Detweiler Run Trail. Making the left onto Detweiler Run you then get to enjoy a fast 3 mile descent to Bear Meadows Rd. Climb up the 1.5 miles to through the switchbacks to the top of Bear Meadows Rd before dropping down the other side going past the monument to Tuxedo Trail. Now the fun begins. Climb Tuxedo, drop down and across Kettle and begin your jaunt across Tussey Mountain Trail to the infamous Beer Tap. From the Beer Tap drop down Tussey Mountain Extension Trail. You are looking for the second left onto Leniency Trail, not far past the first on, continue descending Leniency before taking Bailout Trail that will dump you onto Treaster Kettle Rd. Go right on Treaster Kettle for just short of a mile before going left onto Thickhead Mtn Rd. This mark the slow start to the climb that will take you up and over Thickhead Mountain, up the "wall" as the locals' know it, and back to Penn Roosevelt.
