Picture Rock to Wild Turkey is rated intermediate/advanced for total elevation gain, technical features and overall mileage.

Start at the Picture Rock trailhead. The trail climbs gently for a mile before getting steeper and rockier. The higher you go, the rockier it gets. After 5 miles, you'll come to the Wild Turkey intersection. Take a right and enjoy a slightly smoother trip to the Wild Turkey Overlook. This is an amazing view that is worth taking a break for.

The overlook is at the intersection of Wild Turkey and the Ponderosa Loop, there are two choices for Ponderosa. Take the most outer right one and climb to the top of Ponderosa. Now it's all downhill You'll come to the intersection of Wapiti and Wild Turkey, take the left on Wild Turkey, then the next right to stay on Wild Turkey. Now you are back to the Picture Rock intersection. Take the right and head in what you think is downhill but will be way more peddle-y than you expect. At least the last couple miles are fast flowy for all the climbing you just did.
