This route is a great way to see some of what the port hills have to offer. This route does not contain anything too technically difficult. The majority of all the climbing is done in the first 5 km. Once at the top the route is quite smooth.
Detailed Description
Port Hills Traverse is a 22 mile popular intermediate route located near Christchurch. This mountain bike primary route can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 32 trails. This route climbs 3,732 ft with a max elevation of 1,606 ft then descends -3,868 ft.
