This is the upper porter trail down hill part to the clear cut. I would consider this the best trail in the Capitol forest. It's a cruzier

Mima Falls Trail West

Half of it was great, felt like summer riding. The other half was pretty muddy and some good size puddles to play in.

Dec 3, 2017
Muddy, packed in well in most places, but slippery at times. 3 downed trees.
McKenny Trail

Large tree down across trail (8" diameter), blocking trail right before the intersection of Lost Valley when headed down the hill towards Fall Creek. Moist ground with a few muddy puddles. The worse puddles seemed to be on the first half to the intersection with Mima Trail/Lost Valley in the opening. That tree at 45° on the ground is about 1/3 of the way along the trail. It can be rode around but should be removed as could be a hazard if coming downhill and not looking far enough ahead or if it's dark.

Cleared tree at mp 2.5 from north end. Cleared salmon berry vines and brush near mp 2 from north end om bike bypass

The logging at the very top has started, with some trees down on the trail. The trail is passable, but that section is closed every day but Sundays until the cut is complete. The rest of GL6 is packed and prime. Get it!
