????????FOREST EVENT???????? Hi all we’ve just received this message from the FC. “Hi Pete / Lee, I trust you guys are fit and well. It looks like the wild trails got plenty of use over the festive period which is good. I just want to bring to the attention of TRC that on SUNDAY 11th MARCH we shall be hosting a major orienteering event in Great Wood. A significant part of the course will be within the Cockercombe complex therefore there will be a significant increase in non-mountain bike visitors to the forest and not just on the forest roads but amongst the trees as well. The organisers have arranged with a local farmer to use a field adjacent to Triscombe Stone car park and it is expected that there will be considerable traffic in the area. We shall share more information with you over the coming weeks but we would appreciate it if you could inform members of TRC. Obviously the forest won’t be closed but riders may wish to choose to visit other sites as the day is going to be busy. Not all wild trails will be affected by the orienteering event and we will be able to share a map with you in the near future. Hope this makes sense.
