Rainbow Mountain is a great loop that is just south of Rotorua. For fantastic views make sure you do the little out and back at the top of the climb. For more descending think about hitting the top half of the Rainbow Mountain Trail a second time by climbing back up on the fire road to hit the best part of the trail a second time. After the descent you can jump into the thermal Kerosene Creek for an incredibly unique experience.

We have this ride starting and finishing at the pub and gas station off State Highway 5. Your car will be way more secure here and you can finish with a meal and pint at the pub.
