Snakes & Ladders
Dec 16, 2018 @ 4:08pm
17 hours
December 16- Upper 3/4 of Snakes is summer dry. Approaching the bottom- a few short icy bits. Removed 3 small blowdowns. One 20 cm tree still blocks the trail, at about 2/3 thirds of the way down. Rode back up Snakes, so did not check out the Ladders climb to Ridgeback.
Ranger Summit
Dec 16, 2018 @ 3:50pm
17 hours
December 16- A guess would be about 70/30 dry dirt / icy, with a bit of hardpacked snow remaining. Great for all tire widths. Studs advisable, despite the exposed rocks.

A few large trees down across the trail right up through the Merlin View loop. We removed about 5 trees but with the windstorm today more might have come down.
