First time in Ringwood? Can't go wrong with a simple out and back to the top of Pierson Ridge on the Crossover Trail (white blazes). This route takes a slight detour on the way back, hitting the Warm Puppy Rock viewpoint on the Ringwood-Ramapo trail (red blazes) and Duck Pond trail on the way back to parking lot C.
