The RockStar PAVE Route is 164 miles and (according to Google) just 8575 feet of climbing https://www.strava.com/routes/12371571

There are three RockStar route options, Trail route is 270 miles, the Gravel route is 252 miles ... and at just 164 miles the Pave route could be two solid training days with an overnight at the Douthat midpoint or ... a stout 1-day effort. This is an incredibly gorgeous point-to-point road event that starts in downtown Harrisonburg / Rocktown at Black Sheep Coffee, heads southwest in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest corridor and finishes in downtown Roanoke / Star City (hence RockStar) at the Texas Tavern.

Here's a Google Map of all 3 routes: https://goo.gl/Gnkmsb
Blue = Pave
Orange = Trail
Brown = Gravel
