Squid Line

Rode it today. Last 1.5 km of road up is completely covered in snow 6" deep. I had to push my bike through it. Entered Squid Line to find it up to 1-foot deep in snow. I thought, "I made a big mistake coming up here. I should have rode Ledgeview. This will take a couple hours to walk." For the first 800 meters of the trail I had to slog through deep snow pushing my bike. But then, after that, there was suddenly no more snow and the majority of the trail down is snow-free and in fantastic shape. I had a great ride - fast and fun. So it's open for business once you get past the snowy section.

Light dusting of snow throughout the upper section. Lower section nice and dry. Thanks to those that have maintained the trail.

Rode it at 7:30am in the morning and there was lots of frost and ice. Probably wont be so bad later in the day. There are still a few trees down and some overgrowth on the upper section that needs to be cut back.

There was a temperature inversion so it was warm and sunny up top. The Sauces were in fantastic condition. A little mud in some places, otherwise dry and tacky. GET OUT THERE!
