Fun trail for the first 3/4 of it. The last 1/4 is alot of uphill, to the point that it no longer was enjoyable. We cut over to Emma Peel for the last section and it was also alot of climbing. Overall still a fun trail and its well maintained, however, it was quite wet today.

Little punchy to start bit fun overall. Love the steep exposed one side single track near the end. It really makes you keep your eye on the trail. No sightseeing on this trail. Great semi-tech trail that leads to the fun flow of Squid-line.

Great trail! Log at the beginning is a bugger to get onto, but I’ll get it eventually! My narrower bars make is easier to squeeze between the trees through.

Lots of rock faces and small drops. A great way to build your skill set while not having to walk your bike.

Quite good enjoy this trail as there’s lots of TTF without it being too rickety. Not too much peddling either, especially compared to Squid and Emma, both of which I’ve stopped riding as the lower sections are way too much peddling for too little reward.

This trail is a blast if you don’t mind roots, rocks and technical features. If you want fast and flowing, this isn’t for you, and there really aren’t any trails like that on Sumas Mtn.
The upper section is awesome, as you’re just cruising along on the softly padded forest floor. Some nice clean drops that are great for the intermediate rider - some real confidence builders. Looking forward to hitting it again!

Rode this today after Knob Gobbler, I forgot how much climbing you do on this one, it just went on and on. I would say this is more XC than downhill. I've gotta find a more fun way to get down from Knob Gobbler back to the parking lot next time. I thought it was a lot of work that wasn't really worth the effort.

I enjoyed this a lot. Rocks, roots, steeps, and some loam near the top. Little bit of pedaling required, not enough to dampen the mood, just a good technical descent.

Unlike the description of this trail, I’d say this is about 70% uphill, and 30% down. Fairly awkward, some how they managed to mostly up the mountain while simultaneously going... down it..?
Nice forest tho, beautiful, over grows a lot in the summer.

Nice trail, good challenge. Some small climbs near the top, fairly mellow descending. Middle is steeper, very loose and technical, bordering on double black in spots. Made trickier with all the baby heads. Bottom is quite flat and flowy. Good fun all round. I'd ride this over knob gobler anyway.

Yet another trail rated (quite poorly originally!) by my pocket... I haven't ridden down this trail (I've hiked up it recently though) for over a decade. Hikers have definitely wandered off the original line making it confusing at spot as others noticed. There's some steep awkward sections and tight corners, but I've ridden less enjoyable trails for what thats worth.

The muddy bits in the top half aren't drying out quickly with the colder weather now and are getting deeper in general with the popularity of the trail and the increasing acceptance of wet conditions riding. As others have noticed, and the votes reflect, these factors have led to some chunkier sections over the years, and this is probably no longer a "pure" green. Always good fun though.

Hey Doug. Was this trail originally called Teklen Rider Trail? I named it Megatron here on Trailforks because I couldn’t find any other name for this trail. So I just made something up

This trail is best left for hiking. The lake is a great view point and the steep terrain provides some good views. Actually surprised that this trail is even considered a mountain bike trail.

I always end up riding amazing Squid Line in this park so I decided to try something different. I tried Holiday Sauce and its connection to Emma Peel. The run exceeded my expectations. What a blast. The entire trail is just a more technical version of Squid Line, with some really fun ramps and steep descents. As a previous reviewer said, Emma Peel is also a great option if you don't feel like climbing the full 4 km to the start of Squid Line or Holiday Sauce.

Great trail. Rode it with my 4 year old son and 6 year old godson yesterday. May have been a little long for the 4 year old, but all came through with smiles at the end. NOTE; the trail deserves a green rating, but there are a few sections that can still be a bit challenging. I suggest you lead the trail and check out all sections as I found out the hard way as I watched my son pinball down a small rock chute. Well done Dash (4) and Troy (6) for killing it. So much fun, very proud of you boys.

I'm surprised that nobody has reviewed this trail yet. Especially given its popularity. The Squid Line is a fantastic flowy XC/AM trail. Anybody can ride this trail, I have been taking my son on it since he was 6 years old. However an expert rider can have a blast by hitting this trail at full throttle. At full speed there are some hidden jumps that pop out and immense flow! You will not be disappointed.

Hi.

Know of similar trails closer to Vancouver? I'm a 57 year old mountain bike noob with a strong aversion to rock gardens and gnarly roots. Bobsled is alright but real short. Bridle Path, starting from its east end, way to rocky and rooty for my tastes.

I rode Chadsey Lake for the first time today. Its a challenging trail, there are lots of roots and loose rocks. The section from the towers to the lake has some pretty steep sections but nothing too bad. The trail is severely braided in a lot of areas especially above and around the lake. It is hard to tell where the real trail is. Also there are a lot of spots where you have to get off your bike to climb over stuff. This trail is not really a good mountain bike ride. The moments when you are on your bike are pretty fun but you'd be better off on the other Sumas mountain trails.

Rode it today. She's prime. Steep with some technical features. Old school style but seems to be well maintained. Watch out on the first jump, it is a gap. I didn't realize that and cased it. Rock Diva doesn't really link up to any other trails there's a bit of a traverse after. Great trail.
