Esta ruta te permitirá conocer el valioso patrimonio industrial minero de Castilla y León, así como los bellos paisajes por los que atraviesa. El trazado discurre por las provincias de León y Palencia, que son las únicas de la Comunidad que poseen minería del carbón, contando con un total de 60 Bienes de Interés Cultural en el trazado.

La ruta principal (denominada ruta 1: Barruelo de Santullán - Balboa) cruza de este a oeste las comarcas mineras del norte de Palencia y de León, con un recorrido total de más de 400 km dividido en 13 etapas, la mayoría en el orden de 25-30 km.
Todas ellas combinan en su trazado tramos por pista forestal con enlaces por carretera, en los que se siguen preferentemente vías secundarias.

Ruta 1 Cuencas Mineras Etapa 2 - Cervera de Pisuerga - Triollo is a 15 mile popular intermediate route located near Guardo. This mountain bike primary route can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 3 trails. This route climbs 1,802 ft with a max elevation of 4,711 ft then descends -826 ft.
