Detailed Description
San Gabriel River Goodwater Loop (IMBA Epic) is a 26 mile popular intermediate route located near Georgetown Texas. This mountain bike only route. This route includes 28 trails. This route climbs 1,446 ft with a max elevation of 916 ft then descends -1,438 ft.

As others have said, lots of sharp rocks and it’s pretty rough. I wouldn’t call it technical as some routes are out of your control, it’s just really really rocky.

Trail LG TH - #1
This is a very technical trail. It starts off ok, hard packed ground, but once you get near the cliff edge it is mountain lava rock-very challenging. I had to walk several sections. I rode 2 miles into this trail and turned around. I saw no other MTB and the hikers seemed perplexed I was on a bike. Good luck y'all!

Came for a vacation. Rode this trail first. Rough trail in sections, but still a great ride. Not as technical as some down in Austin. Coming from my local trails, a lot of this area is over my head.

lots of rock gardens. rough trail. there are primitive campsites along the way if you wanna split it up and camp.
