Watch for forestry equipment on the road starting June 19th, 2018 and stay clear. If you encounter any machinery or trucks on the road, make sure the operator sees you and follow their direction. Thanks Ryan #Fvmba reporter
Starting Monday June 18, 2018, Hoots will be closed for road building and cut-block logging. Please respect the closure and abide by all signage and tape markings. The FVMBA is working in conjunction with the BCIT Forestry Society and the contractors and the trail will be cleared, repaired, and re-opened following the forestry work. Thanks, Ryan, #FVMBA reporter
Most of the rung needed for the bridge off the road has been split and moved to the creek at the top. All that is needed is a handful more rung and installation.
My Trail Fairies helped me gather the rung today.
It should turn out to be a 20 year bridge.
This morning I encountered some rogue building on Bloggy Style. Someone built a jump in the last third of the trail at the log that spans the trail.
The jump was not constructed by the builder of the trail and has been removed. The jump was of poor quality and used sub par materials.
All unauthorized building will result in the work being torn out. Any building on trails needs to be authorized by the trail builder responsible for the trail.
If a person wants to help maintain, fix or build trails, they should first contact the established builders of trails in the area, For The Woodlot, people should contact the area rep with the FVMBA who will then help make introductions.
