A tour of some of the Slaughter Pen trails taking into account Choo Choo being closed for maintenance (Summer 2020) and optimal directionality for trails like Medusa & Warthog. This will also allow a nice relaxing ride along the razorback regional greenway (of North Bentonville & Crystal Bridges) to get back into town. Technically most of the trails are both directions but there are a few that are mono-directional (Warthog & Blackbird) and others that are better ridden in one direction than the other (i.e. Medusa from SE to NW). The Tiger Trail-Leopard Loop-Tristan Trail loop can also be skipped for Ozone-Red Barn.

Trail Tristan Trail
Honestly one of the most fun trails to bomb in Bentonville, needs A bit of work to restore it to the absolute screamer that it once was though

Trail Rotten to the Core
Fun trail and decent rock garden that's not too technical. I will definitely be adding this to my loop. I did have a somewhat bizarre experience though. I was coming up to the rock garden and heard what sounded like a goat and laughter in the distance. I came around the corner and realized it wasn't a goat, but a novice rider that went OTB and crashed hard on the rocks. He had a compound humerus fracture and there were leaves and debris hanging off the bone. I've never seen or heard anything like it before. He was surprisingly pretty chipper in between his groaning and laughter probably from being in shock. He kept telling me about the grey lunchmeat he got at shoprite and his GI Joe collection oddly enough. I helped him get back to the trailhead after we squirted some water on the bone to clean it off a bit. He kept trying to squirt his orange gatorade on it then even though it burnt like hell and was a terrible idea, so I had to take it from him. Bizarre to say the least...

Trail Apple Dumplin
Think the description needs updated on this one. Is now a flow jump-trail with some pretty big tables & step-down, absolutely awesome!

Trail Rabbit Hole Loop
Good beginner green. Parked at Wonderland Trail Head and rode the trail back and forth. Riding with true beginners. Banked curves were hard and they walked the intimidating parts. Wider than some single tracks. Nothing technical. Pretty trail.

Trail All-American
Genius trail building. A trip to BVille without a descent of the AA trail is a fail.

Trail Tristan Trail
Should be a unidirectional trail—that is, DH only. Was possibly the best trail in BVille when it debuted; however, it eventually became very rocky so traction isn’t great, so bombing is not what it could be and once was. Need one of the dozens of BVille trail crews for a day or two, or some forced labor during the nearby school’s recess for a month, to clear the rocks and restore Tristan’s glory!

Trail Tristan Trail
I'm a new rider but I love this trail (going down). Nice flow with several places to really get moving. I can't say I'll ever try to go all the way up it on a bike though.

Trail Tristan Trail
Fun if you’re going down, and going fast. Not too bad steep if you’re going up

Trail All-American
This trail is signed as one way only. Start is on the south end near downtown and the end is on the north end.

Accurate description, this trail will lead you all the way to slaughter pen phase one. There are lots of smooth dirt rollers, berms, and all the jumps are optional.

Trail Wishing Springs North
Its paved, but it's also a little twisty. Fun if you are going to a different trailhead... Just another paved path really.

Trail Medusa
This is NOT a black Diamond trail. Blue trail at max.

Trail Medusa
Agreed, I hit this wet with my son. No problem climbing or features. There is one little rocky section but this is so far away from a black. From the naming a color rating I was expecting more. Please re-designate. Even having a name like Medusa you'd think you were info for something.
