There is a large tree fallen across the trail just before the end of the trail at Morte Lake. If you are travelling north, take the branch of the trail down to the sand beach on Morte lake to detour around the fallen tree. If you are travelling south, start on the branch of the trail up from the sand beach on Morte Lake.
