An Introduction to Whistler's Westside trails.
By following the Valley Trail along Lorimer road, you can reach Rainbow Park. Head through Rainbow park to Alta Lake road and start the climb slightly uphill at the "Whip me, Snip me" trailhead. You'll turn South under the powerlines and head along "Hot Dog Alley" and then up "Scotia Creek Climb". At the top you'll cross over Stonebridge Drive, and head around Beaver pond, eventually turning left onto the "Beaver Pond" trail (More advanced riders can continue upto "99er"). Once you drop back onto Stonebridge Drive, pedal up the road to "Danimal North" trail for a classic Westside descent.
After Danimal North, continue North along "Whip me, Snip me". This is a gradual climb which will bring you eventually to the Rainbow trail area. A shorter loop can be made by exiting down Beaver Pass trail from Whip me, Snip me. Once you have reached the top of the climb, head down to the wooden bridge that crosses Rainbow Creek. Continue uphill to join the descent of "Lower 27 Switchbacks" and the exit of "Bob's Rebob". Once on Alta Lake Road, you can cross and turning right will take you onto River runs Through It and the Rainbow Express trail. These trails will finish at Rainbow park where you can make your way back to the village.
