This is located in a state park, so an $8 daily pass or annual pass is required.

This route highlights Mule Deer Trail and Mountain Lion Trail, the parks two best trails. The route is essentially two loops linked by some double track and a short stint on a dirt road through the scenic aspen meadows campground. If your a purist and want a touch more singletrack you can utilize the Snowshoe Hare Trail. However the trail quality is not on par with the other trails in the park, be ready for loose rock and sections of scree, the trail also widens into a double track at times. Thus I typically don't include it when I set out to enjoy The Best of Golden Gate.
