Trail Entrails
I rode this the other day after being away for 4 years. I may be remembering wrongly, but the top half (before the connector to other trails) seemed a lot more eroded and “techy” than before. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing but it is definitely tougher.

Well it's a logging road so you can do whatever you want. It's also an incredibly highly trafficked road for pedaling that's too narrow for a vehicle to pass someone pedaling without them pulling over. It's also faster to pedal if you're in mildly decent shape.

Was pretty nuts, lots of steep slabs, roots and puddles make this a tough climb. I never tried the other way up to somewhere over there, but I can’t imagine it isn’t busy.

Awkward trail to get too, loose fire road cling up, but an absolute gem, could be one of Squamish best trails hands down, so much going on here, some drops, some slabs, lots of tech, and beautiful woodwork, how can you ask for more

If Cumberland had sex with Fromme and then a doctor inserted some DNA from Robert's creek they'd give birth to this trail. Maybe the coolest most unique mix of flow, tech and single track around. Heaps of fun.

Such a great trail! Countless rock features to ride. Best of everything on this one. The climb to get to the trailhead is technical and demands a lot of energy. The trailhead is a large rock slab between a couple of trees and a small dip at the bottom.

It’s not how the trail was designed. It was a gnarly double black. Now it’s a super fun single black.

It’s more like. Go the way you want.

wake-n-rake (May 26, 2020 at 20:55)
Exactly! If people want to ride the gnarly exit then they can. If people want to ride the 'super fun single black' then just follow Trailforks directions and head over to Hueso via the old traverse to new connector. Given that the old trail literally fell down, it would be irresponsible to send people down the chute given the nature of the rebuild (which was a agreed by SORCA, and the OG builder was aware of and fine with). But if people with the knowledge want to ride the chute, go for it! I have on a number of occasions, but I'll take riding on one of the best sections of trail in Squamish (lower Hueso) over it any day personally.

This is a solid black trail. Maybe a blue if you do all the ride arounds, but ride it proper and it is a black. Started life as a red rated trail, then moved to a blue? Nope, it is a black for sure. Blue trails do not have that level of exposure,

Squamish, Whistler, Pemby. The exit rock feature, for example, is challenging and you can argue if it is black or a double black feature but it's not a blue trail, even for Squamish! It's the various slabs that make it challenging, not the trail in between. Gary basically connected a bunch of rock features that vary in difficulty with easy connecting sections.

I posted that when it first opened and it was pretty rough, plus wet so made it prertty challenging. I haven't ridden it in a while so didn't know about the ride arounds. You are right though, double black in Squamish has a pretty high bar to meet and Tomorrow doesn't meet it.
