As of 2013, there is an army base overlooking the north western edge of the north ridge, and they don't like to spot riders near the base.Best to descend at the campsite and ride the wadi floor to the gate.

Great loop for a 2.5-4 hour ride, depending on how fit you are. This is the basic version that ends the singletrack leg on the wadi floor at the camp site, but you can add many of the microloops for an epic tour.
