A favorite after-work route for the big kids This route combines all the best sustained downhills on Heil's south side for a rowdy romp! It's the Van Hagar because, this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6x0NWRh7WQ
People often ride one way on the loop at the top, getting only one of the fun downhills on the top of Heil. But, BMA's team of awesomeness engineers figured a way to get in the fun super silly swoops of Ponderosa Loop and the rowdy jumps (I mean water diversion features) of the super downhill on Wild Turkey. If you see something that looks like you can jump it, you probably can!

ROUTE:
1. go up Wapiti
2. turn left onto Ponderosa Loop
3. Go to overlook. You know you're there when you are overlooking things. Also, there is a bench with a sweet little drop
4. Continue on Ponderosa Loop (it's the middle trail not close to the edge of the overlook).
5. Go, go, go until you get to Wild Turkey Loop (you're heading south(ish) and you'll get to a fork
6. Turn left onto Wild Turkey Loop
7. DO NOT turn right onto Picture Rock trail
8. You will get to a very familiar looking overlook
9. Stay right so you get back onto Ponderosa Loop (that swoopy trail you rode before)
10. Turn right and zoom down Wapiti. About 300 yards after you get onto this trail, look for "the Flatiron" on the left which is a great rock for some creative air-getting (or crashing. do be careful)
11. Get back to parking lot. Drive to go get frosty adult beverage.

Go get it!
