A Discovery Pass is needed to park in the upper lot. Be alert for descending riders when climbing up Joy Ride and Preston Railroad trails. Watch for and be courteous to hikers on NorthWest Timber.

Great lower mountain route for that after work or mid-Winter ride, where you don't have time to go all the way to the top (or can't due to snowfall).

From the parking lot (upper or lower), ride NorthWest Timber trail all the way to the new Easy, Tiger trail, take this to the start of the new The Legend trail. Descend this awesome, punchy, short little gem down to the East Side Road. Go Left to climb up this road to the NE end of NorthWest Timber trail, and then either climb up Joy Ride trail (watch for descending riders on this two-way trail), or climb up the road a half mile until the maintenance cut-in to Joy Ride (on your right). Climb Joy Ride, then at the junction, go Right on Silent Swamp trail (in the most fun direction). From SS, exit onto the Crossover Road and go Right. Go Left to climb up Preston Railroad (be alert for descending riders). At the 4th switchback up, take a Left on the Bail Out trail (easy to miss the entrance). Exit BO and go Right to climb up the Crossover Road. Take Fully Rigid trail on Left, then at the Silent Swamp / Joy Ride junction, go Right and across the wood bridge to Joy Ride. Climb the short section at the start, then descend this trail to NorthWest Timber. Go Right to follow NorthWest Timber back out to the parking lot.
