Follow the main road (turn right after yellow gate) to signed Sobo No Michi climb trail and begin the climb to the top. It's around 4.6km with an average 5 per cent grade.

Once at the top, ride to Trent River Main and turn left and go downhill until you hit Upper Thirsty Beaver on your left. The trail has recently been refreshed and features boardwalks, log rides, and a couple of small but optional drops.

Turn right once you finish Upper Thirsty and ride a short distance to Lower Thirsty Beaver. This trail has similar features to Upper Thirsty but is a bit faster and slightly narrower with one steep downhill next to a slope.

You'll finish on a logging road where you will turn right and ride up the road (a decent climb) to the handbuilt Vanilla Climb - which takes you to Vanilla.

Vanilla is very smooth and fun, a favourite on the Island. Ride the first section, but turn right when you get to the first road crossing to avoid the clear cut section. The pedal along the logging road will take you to a fork in the logging road, turn left and follow to an intersection with a tree and turn left again.

As you ride down this road, you will find Blue Collar, a longer flow trail that you will ride all the way to the steep climb at the end. There will be two routes once you reach the top of the climb. Either works, but turn left when you get to the logging road and follow it until you reach Trestle.

Trestle is just a cross-country traverse to the intersection with Crafty Butcher. Stay right on Trestle and go up a climb to get there. You'll see the Crafty Butcher sign, along with Railroad and Swamp Monster.

Head on to Crafty Butcher and ride it to the bottom. There are optional A-Frames and boardwalks, that can be avoided. There's also a rock roll at the end of Upper Crafty, not a huge feature but big enough if you are new.

Follow Middle Crafty Butcher, and then ride to Lower Crafty. This is a rough, but fun descent. So take it slow. The trail ends in some switchbacks and spits you onto the road.

Turn left after you finish Crafty Butcher and make another left at the fork in the road towards Black Hole. Follow Black Hole and then turn left onto No Hole and ride it until it intersects with Kitty Litter.

Turn right onto Kitty Litter and ride right through onto Space Nugget. Space Nugget is a fun was to finish the ride as it has a ravine section with smooth loops through it.

When you finish Space Nugget, ride down the road and you will find the yellow gate where you started

You have now ridden many of the classic popular trails in Cumberland!
