The Trans Canada Extension Route is a double track-set classic cross-country ski trail. No fat-biking, snowshoeing, or hiking allowed. It starts with a nice flat lake section that follows the shore of Falcon Lake's south side. It then turns into the bush and there is an immediate large uphill climb followed by a large downhill where it then crosses the South Shore Road. Parking is not permitted during the winter months at this road crossing, trail enthusiasts should be parking in the public parking lot at the Falcon Ridge Ski Slopes. The trail then continues on through a nice rolling hill section towards High Lake where it eventually joins up with the High Lake Trail.
