Twelvemile to Lime Creek is a classic Idaho ride, not for the faint of heart emotionally or physically. Riders will encounter nearly every challenging aspect of mountain biking and will be rewarded with one of the best descents in the West. You’ll trek from ridge tops to river, and it’ll feel much more than its literal distance.

Trails in this area are generally primitive. You will need good navigational skills or, at the very least, backcountry confidence. Also expect to hike-a-bike more than once.

The Goldbug Hot Springs is a great option to cap off a Lime Creek run. Trailhead access is just south of Mile Marker 282 on US-93. The trail is for Hiking Only and it is about a 2 mile hike up to the Springs.
